Craft your own art while sipping on local craft beer for our first social event of the year! We'll have a paintbrush in one hand and a beer in the other at Darkness Brewing in Bellevue as we undertake a painting under the guidance of an instructor. No need to bring any supplies as they will be provided. We have 30 spots available for the paint class and participants must be able to stick around for the entire two hours to complete their masterpiece.
Not much of a painter? No worries! Feel free to hang out with your fellow volunteers while the paint class is going on. 50 drink tickets will be provided to the first 50 registrants along with some light dessert bites for all.
Guess what? Bellevue is the location for Paint the Town 2017, so take a look around the neighborhood as well!
UPDATE:
People who registered to paint are encourage to arrive early, preferably by 5:45, in order to start promptly at 6. The class will start promptly at 6 and the instructor cannot accept any late arrivals. Anyone who cannot make it by 6 will have theirty? What can we do?
Our panel of five local experts on this topic will each talk about why literacy is an important issue, how it impacts our community, and what we can do about it. Then we'll open to discussion up to questions from the audience.
