Time to get to work! Can you dig it? On Saturday, May 5, we will partner with Price Hill Will to help beautify three of their largest community gardens, including Turner Farm, Roberts Academy and LPH Gardens. The Price Hill Recreation Center will serve as our home base for the day! From there, volunteers will split off into three groups to tackle each garden (located two miles or less from the Rec Center; transportation will be provided). What are the tasks at hand? Great question. Volunteers at each garden will create new garden beds, lay out soil and seed, harvest crops, and pull weeds. Each garden may also include additional maintenance work. What to bring: Comfortable clothing that you're not afraid to get dirty in. We will provide both gloves and tools prior to the start of the day. Sign-in and registration will begin at 8 a.m. sharp at the Rec Center, along with breakfast (bagels and coffee)! We will have Chick-fil-a delivered for lunch (vegetarian options available) and we will hold an afterparty following the event at Veracruz Mexican Grill (within walking distance!). As always, the first drink is on us. Event Details Date: Saturday, May 5 Time: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Location: Price Hill Recreation Center | 959 Hawthorne Ave. | Cincinnati, OH 45205 Parking: Free parking is available at the Price Hill Recreation Center. Transporation will be provided to each site.
